Privacy Policy
Updated: July 29, 2026
Ishla is operated by Musofir 05 Inc., which is the company responsible for the personal data described below. Where this policy says “we”, it means Musofir 05 Inc.
This describes what Ishla collects, why, and who can see it. Where we make a promise here, it is one the product actually keeps.
1. What we collect
Everyone: your name, email address, and the messages and photos you send. Your ZIP code, so we can match work to an area. A profile photo if you choose to add one — it is optional.
Clients: the details of the jobs you post, and a phone number if you enter one.
Professionals: your business details and service area, your work photos, and identity documents — a government ID and a photo of you — for verification. Licence numbers where your trade needs one.
Automatically: basic technical information from your browser or app, and a device token if you turn on notifications.
2. Your phone number stays yours
We do not show your phone number to anyone else on Ishla. Not to a professional you message, not to a client who hires you. All contact runs through the platform's chat and calls.
We hold the number so support can reach you, and so that if we ever offer text alerts you can choose to receive them. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not sell or rent numbers to anyone.
3. Calls
Voice calls on Ishla connect the two browsers or apps directly to each other. The audio does not pass through our servers and calls are not recorded. We keep a log of who called whom, when, and how long it lasted — nothing of what was said.
4. Photos
Photos are compressed in your browser before they are uploaded, which removes the metadata a camera embeds — including the GPS coordinates of where the picture was taken. A photo taken at home does not carry your address with it.
Identity documents go to private storage that ordinary users cannot read; they are visible only to the staff who review verifications.
An ID is also checked by AI technology when you upload it, to see whether the file really is an identity document rather than the wrong photo. That check only flags the image for our reviewers — it never decides anything on its own. A person reviews every application, and if we cannot verify your ID we tell you why and you can upload another.
5. Who sees what
A professional sees: the job you posted, its ZIP code, your first and last name, your photo if you added one, and your rating from other professionals once you have one.
A client sees: a professional's public profile — their name, trade, work photos, rating, reviews and verification badges.
Nobody but you sees: your phone number, your email, your identity documents, and the reason you gave for cancelling a job or blocking someone.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of providers to run the service — hosting, our database, email delivery and push notification services — and they handle data only to do that job.
We will disclose information where the law requires it, and we may provide a record of a job to either party or their insurer where there is a dispute about it.
7. How long we keep it
Your account data is kept while your account exists. Messages, jobs and reviews are kept as long as the account they belong to — a review with no history behind it is worth nothing to the next client, and a disagreement about a job can surface months later.
Delete your account and we remove your profile, messages and photos. Reviews you left may remain in an anonymised form, and we keep what the law requires us to keep.
8. Notifications
Push notifications are off until you turn them on, and you can turn them off in your cabinet or in your browser or phone settings. Email about jobs and messages comes with an account; we do not send marketing email without asking first.
9. Your rights
You can see and correct your data in your settings, ask us for a copy of it, or ask us to delete your account. Write to privacy@ishla.net and we will answer within 5 business days.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined there.
10. Cookies
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
11. Children
Ishla is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we find we have.
